Dynamic Drawing

I've started taking these "dynamic drawing" classes: www.dynamicdrawing.com.au/ Unlike traditional life drawing classes, they're not about observation so much as a direct, personal, expressive response to the model we're drawing.
The drawing time allowed ranges from 1 to 4 minutes so you can't be fussy. It's a lot of fun so far. I've posted some of my drawings to a flick set and shall continue to do do. http://www.flickr.com/photos/13529429@N00/sets/72157623649621564/ I was thinking of posting all the images here but I think that might be too much to load at once?
If you have the time, do check them out. I'm really enjoying doing these classes so far but art making can be quite a lonely experience when it comes to getting feedback. Sob sob, boo hoo, tiny violin etc.

i like it a lot, it reminds me of dali's drawings and ink works. you might want to have a look at them
These are great! 1 to 4 minutes is really fast and puts the expression in the same area as signing your name. I like 15 the best and then 14. I like 5 too, it's funny and I like the colours. I like the use of colour and texture in 6 too and in 19 and the facial expression, mood posture and character of the spaces left undrawn on in 18. 22 has some nice movement too. 15 is the star for me tho.
This is clearly a great activity for you, judging by the results. It looks like the necessity of having to not get bogged down in the details is giving your work a very different vibe and bringing out some really interesting elements from the raw and immediate brain-to-brush method - kind of like freeflowing writing does for authors. You should definitely keep doing this.
Fuck you're talented!
Thankyou all!
Leon, I love Dali's line drawings most out of all his work I think (expect perhaps for his jewelery) so that's a major compliment!
Jake, I really appreciate your taking the time to comment on individual drawings - that's really very appreciated!
Lucas, yeah the "raw" thing has always really worked for me - I love the expressionist movement of art and calligraphic sort of stuff so it's nice to get back in touch with that and let go of some of my preciousness about art making.
Bobby, fuck, thankyou!
