Masque.

Self portraits are hard but I wanted to show you a mask I painted. It's one of those cheap junk store things but it was fun to paint on and photographs rather well. I have a feeling there might be a series in this - masks have always fascinated me, I think I need to explore that fascination deeper. Can anyone recommend any good artists, writing etc on masks that I should be aware of?

Don't have any masks but here's a present to make up for it:

Perhaps some of your work could have application here? Opportunity for publicity?

Wow, haven't seen this photo, I like it a lot with your eyes and a touch of breast:) I liked the idea about workshop with mask sculptures, we should set a time for it, if you are still keen. And if you like I can do a bit of research on masks and send you the articles and do a psychodramatic warmup for the workshop, so rather than discussing them after we can get into the personas before creating the masks and then get into the space and create one of those that emerges.

The more I look at this photo, the more I like it, the fierce warrior really coming through.

Btw, you should set up some kind of reminders for the blog updates, maybe through facebook or lj, I forget to check in for weeks as you see. Spent lots of time looking at your gallery today before checking the blog, makes me warm:)
