Cold Salt Skin

At last, I've had the time to upload the images from my last exhibition, Cold Salt Skin.

So go check it out and remember that I thrive on feedback so please give me comments, please oh please!

Phew, it's a relief to get it all online. Now onwards to the next project, whatever that may be! Bwaha!

Nice haul. They look particularly crisp and vibrant on my new screen. Perhaps you could consider making a couple of high-res images available for desktop wallpapers? It'd be nice to have something of your newer stuff on my screen. (2560x1440 resolution if possible?)
Anyway, yes. Great to see it all up here.

Wrote down what I thought as I watched the slideshow.

- Love the tinned mermaids, what do they taste like, are they nice :)
- Mermaid woos beautiful maiden is really nice
- Siren song is great!!! putting a doodley in a fancy frame is audacious and fun.
- Ha ha Solitary confinement is good too. She looks too dangerous to let out :)
- Undertow1, is lovely
- Undertow 2, WOW!! that is gorgiuos
- Undertow 3, ha ha now knowing undertow 1 and 2 are in a toilet spoils them a bit, before they looked like they were mysterious and out at sea. Probly only because I'm daft tho :)

Love that you have all these mermaids with proud boobs. You have some great ideas like the snow globes and the tinned mermaids :) you made a really good and very loveable exhibition.

Awesome to finally see these up - takes me back.

Agree with Lucas, these look amazing. Glad to see you actually got decent photos of all of these (though Siren and Apparition haven't quite been captured - I think because of how glossy and dark they were.

It's not quite the same as actually being there and seeing them all together in their natural habitat, since you were quite clever in your placement in the gallery and they fit the space so well. It's still interesting seeing them in this context, though, after having been so familiar with them in realz. One thing the website does capture is just how much stuff you made. Really fantastic work, Ngaio - this is a really impressive collection.

The impression i get from this is joy--just a happier feeling in this collection from you than in any other collection. A lot of good cartoony zaniness. You just seem happier,Siren Song and Sparkling Sea (back) are so joyous! Siren Song reminds me a lot of Jane of Jane's Guide. Also, I find it interesting that My Pretty Mermaid is your favorite--all that orange hair--a coincidence?:) Suggestion for next time--if you have odds & ends you could post those. Keep it up!

P. S. Extraordinary detail on Merman, and what's that fish on the bottom?

Thanks all of you for the comments... sometimes art making can feel very lonely so it's good to reread these comments and feel supported.
