Playing dressup.

Yesterday, for the lovely Olya's birthday celebrations, we had a beautiful picnic in the Melbourne Royal Botanic gardens. Later that night, we decided to get into the Halloween spirit, get dressed up and go dancing with a group of Olya's friends.

We went back to my place and basically just threw together costumes out of what we already had. Olya borrowed my red wig and I quickly painted her face (she did the lips, though). She looked like some sort of sexy she-Zorro as you can see here.

I threw on a bad wig, bad makeup and a princess dress. While we were walking down the street, a bald guy, dressed all in black, his face painted white, yelled at me "The princess thing is SO old and boring." I was tempted to yell back "So is the ugly old goth thing" or something to that effect... but I like to think I'm a better person than that.

Excellent photo below taken by Olya with some adjustments in Photoshop done by me. Woot!

Note to self: Horrible synthetic fibre princess dresses are NOT good for dancing in on hot, humid evenings. Fun, though.

You look good! you both do, I like Olay's makeup, especially the goldy bits under her eyes.

Honestly, folks, the only reason I look good is due to Olya's skills with the camera... I shall have to post a photo that more accurately captures how terrible I truly looked at some point! $3 wigs are awful but so much fun.
